  1. Kia ora Jed,
Thank you for creating this pepeha and sharing it with us all!
A pepeha is a great way of sharing information about who you are and where you come from, so it is awesome to see how you have created one yourself as a way of letting people know who you are.
You mentioned in your pepeha how you are from Mawhero and currently live in Hokitika.
Have you lived anywhere else aside from these two places?
How old were you when you moved to Hokitika?
The images you have incorporated to accompany your slide are fantastic, and I especially like how you used the image of the Hokitika sign made from driftwood!
The driftwood is one of my favourite parts of the Hokitika beach, specifically because of the Driftwood and Sand festival which is held annually.
I enjoy when the festival is on, and am always so amazed by the creations made from washed up pieces of wood. I can remember one year there was a cheetah made from a log which looked like it was covered in spots. It was incredible to see how they turned an old spotty log into a work of art, and I am looking forward to seeing the creations in the next festival.
Have you ever been to the Driftwood and Sand festival?
If so, what are some of the artworks that you can remember?
Keep blogging, you’re doing a fantastic job!
    Nga mihi
